Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Bagwell (ranked 5304 p4p, 5506 weight class) and Chris Laird (ranked 566 p4p, 569 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ken Bagwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Laird!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bagwell fails to land the takedown.

Laird closes the distance and pushes Bagwell back into the cage.
Bagwell drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Laird gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Laird lands with a light punch inside.

It looks like Ken Bagwell has been cut.

Laird breaks from the clinch.

Laird closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bagwell to the mat! Bagwell manages to get full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laird with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Laird is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bagwell is trying to control the position but Laird postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Laird is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Laird connects with a couple of short punches.
Laird seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Laird postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Bagwell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Laird on the ground.
Laird is stalling in the full guard.

Laird stands up from Bagwell's guard - Laird perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bagwell attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Laird shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bagwell's guard.
Laird scoring with punches to the head and body.
Laird sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Laird is pushing down on Bagwell's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bagwell is fighting to maintain full guard but Laird has managed to sneak the leg through.
Bagwell on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Bagwell wants to control but Laird is keeping busy.

Laird is trying for a kimura here. Bagwell looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Laird wins by kimura!
