Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rolf Spicer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brady Baird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brady Baird has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rolf Spicer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brady Baird!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spicer throws out a loose jab but Baird uses good head movement to avoid it.
Baird takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.


It looks like Brady Baird has been cut.
Nice takedown defense from Spicer. No joy for Baird on that attempt.
Spicer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Spicer tries to clinch there but Baird circles away.

Spicer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Baird doesn't seem bothered though.

Baird escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Spicer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Baird moves out of range as Spicer throws a body kick.
Spicer takes a swing at Baird's ribcage but misses.
Baird shoots for a double leg takedown but Spicer sprawls well. He's pushed Baird's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Spicer scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Spicer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Baird but Baird pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rolf Spicer.
I think Spicer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
