The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendoza shoots in but no luck this time.
Tony gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Mendoza counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Tony!

Tony stops Mendoza from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Mendoza is going olschool here, as he tries to force Tony to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tony shrugs it off.

I really don't envy Tony right now.

Mendoza is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Tony tries to escape but Mendoza has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mendoza working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Tony is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Mendoza has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Tony taps out!
