PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adam Grochowik (ranked 1466 p4p, 2119 weight class) and Abak Thwack (ranked 215 p4p, 312 weight class). Grochowik comes to the cage accompanied by I'm a Soldier 2Pac. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Grochowik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Abak Thwack!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thwack fails with a takedown attempt.

Thwack shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Grochowik manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Thwack thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Thwack throws a lazy right hand but Grochowik sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Thwack lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Thwack is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Grochowik is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Grochowik has escaped and now he's on top!


Thwack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grochowik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grochowik manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Abak Thwack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
