The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase throws a series of punches but Fox moves out of range.
Fox misses with a kick to the body.

Fox forces Chase back against the cage and clinches.
Fox leaning his opponent against the cage.
Chase wants to break the clinch but can't.
Chase is trying to break free.

Fox breaks the clinch.

Chase tries to keep at a distance but Fox has taken the fight into the clinch.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Fox.
Fox wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Chase has had enough of the clinch but Fox keeps him there for the moment.

Fox tightens his grip and picks Chase up, before dumping him to the ground. Chase manages to land in guard.
Fox slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Chase working for a triangle but Fox defends it easily.
Fox trying to control but Chase is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fox advances to half guard.
Chase is looking to improve his position.
Fox really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chase. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fox wants to take a breather but Chase is having none of it.

Fox seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chase does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Chase has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Chase there as he acknowledges the shot.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Fox takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

and Fox decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chase's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chase had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fox is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Chase Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fox's back instead.

Chase is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Fox won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Chase off his unconscious opponent!
