PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Frost (ranked 1119 p4p, 2650 weight class) and Reece Gregory (ranked 145 p4p, 330 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Frost!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Reece Gregory!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frost closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gregory did well to prevent Frost getting side control.
Gregory tries to kick Frost off in order to stand up. Frost Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Frost is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Gregory's shoulder. That is not cool.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
