The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maze misses with a series of wild punches.

Maze looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Visconti!
Visconti sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maze tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Visconti wants to get back to full guard.

Maze is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Maze is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Maze wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Visconti uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Maze wanted to stand there but Visconti had control of the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Maze will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Visconti misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Visconti could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Visconti wants to clinch up but Maze keeps it at a distance.
Visconti keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Maze avoids a punch combination nicely.
Maze checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Maze swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Visconti counters with a shoot takedown. Maze fights it but they end up in guard.

Maze is looking to stand back up but Visconti counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Maze.

Visconti has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Maze is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Visconti yanks on the arm and Maze is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Visconti.
