Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jairzinho Teixeira (ranked 2252 p4p, 2528 weight class) and Anton Meshkov (ranked 272 p4p, 308 weight class). Teixeira comes into the arena with The Eye of the Tiger blaring out of the sound system. Anton Meshkov is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teixeira uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Meshkov.

We've been told by Teixeira's head coaches at Roosters Coop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Meshkov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

and Meshkov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Meshkov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Meshkov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Teixeira is breathing heavily.
Meshkov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Teixeira has time to react.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Meshkov lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Teixeira head around and knocks him out cold! Meshkov hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
