The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Broadaxe moves into the clinch.
Meine tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Broadaxe fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Broadaxe tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Broadaxe tries to pull guard but Meine won't allow it.
Rudolf Meine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dwalin Broadaxe.

Broadaxe drags the fight down to the ground.
Broadaxe looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Meine postures up.
Broadaxe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Meine will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Broadaxe tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Broadaxe shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Broadaxe showed some decent athleticism there.

Broadaxe tries to pass to full mount but Meine defends it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Broadaxe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Broadaxe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Broadaxe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Meine's head.
Meine is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Alfred Top Team, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Broadaxe cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Broadaxe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Meine keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Meine is refusing to be controlled, as Broadaxe sits in half guard.

Meine makes his way to full guard, as Broadaxe worked for a kimura.
Broadaxe working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Broadaxe closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Meine's guard.

Broadaxe throws an elbow that misses. Meine uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Broadaxe's guard. Nice move by Meine!

Broadaxe pulls Meine in to control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meine stopping the sweep attempt from Broadaxe.

Dwalin Broadaxe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Meine's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
