Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maruim Silva (ranked 1785 p4p, 5490 weight class) and Grounded Stat (ranked 111 p4p, 280 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Sabotage. Grounded Stat is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stat tries to clinch up.
Stat darts in trying to clinch
and Stat takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Silva lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Silva throws out a loose jab but Stat uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sloppy strikes from Silva. Those never looked like landing.
Stat is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Stat on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stat throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
A counter left hand to the body from Silva misses its target.

It looked like Silva wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Silva makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Silva lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Stat misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Maruim Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grounded Stat.

Stat with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Silva to score with a decent uppercut.
