PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Savage Goon (ranked 3881 p4p, 3611 weight class) and Xavier Jenning (ranked 454 p4p, 427 weight class). Jenning has chosen Can you dig it, Sucka as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Savage Goon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Xavier Jenning!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenning takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Jenning closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Goon to the mat! Goon manages to get full guard.

Goon kicks Jenning off and gets to his feet.
Goon with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Jenning with a lazy takedown attempt
and Goon counters with a straight right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Goon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jenning wants to counter with a clinch but Goon pushes him away.
Jenning has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Goon finds it's way round the side to connect with Jenning's head.

Jenning takes the fight into the clinch.
Jenning drops down looking for an ankle pick but Goon pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jenning shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Goon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Savage Goon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Jenning.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jenning tries to score a power double leg takedown but Goon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jenning somewhat.
Savage Goon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jenning throws a head kick that misses.
Goon seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Goon gets caught flat footed, as Jenning shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jenning in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Jenning prevents Goon from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Goon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jenning wants to control from the top but Goon keeps moving.

Goon manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Jenning jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Goon walks away with a smile on his face. Jenning gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Goon moves into range and connects with a jab.
Jenning gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Xavier Jenning seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Goon clobbers Jenning with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Jenning is rocked!
Jenning's coach down at Fight Club Gym 600pw was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jenning's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jenning misses with a right hand
and Goon counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Jenning falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
