Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kai Ventura (ranked 5597 p4p, 5847 weight class) and Hilo Revenge (ranked 440 p4p, 445 weight class). Ventura comes to the cage accompanied by Dissident - Nercon. Kai Ventura has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Revenge fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ventura.
Revenge throws a head kick that Ventura semi-blocks.

Revenge gets tackled into the cage by Ventura. Ventura maintains the clinch.

Ventura breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Revenge moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Revenge avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Revenge flicks out a counter leg kick but Ventura steps away.

Ventura lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Revenge circles away quickly and effectively.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Revenge counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ventura's knee momentarily.

Revenge gets tackled into the cage by Ventura. Ventura maintains the clinch.
Revenge tries to break free but Ventura pushes him back against the cage.
Ventura tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Revenge smiles and moves away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hilo Revenge dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Revenge throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Revenge has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Revenge lands with a kick to the temple. Ventura shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

and Ventura counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Revenge!

Revenge pushes Ventura away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ventura gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Ventura tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Ventura looks up at the clock and then as Revenge takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ventura smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Ventura crunches a massive hammerfist down on Revenge - he's out! Ventura Holds back on further strikes and jumps to his feet to celebrate with the crowd!

A relieved looking Kai Ventura thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
