Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grizzley Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Faraday!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Faraday is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Faraday connects with a jab.

It looks like Grizzley Adams has been cut.
Faraday throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Adams sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Adams swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Adams uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Faraday.
Faraday scores with a sloppy right hand. Adams should have avoided that one.
Donk. Faraday catches Adams right on the button with a cross.

Adams looking to score a takedown here. Faraday is defending well but Adams drives through and ends up in Faraday's guard.

Faraday manages to escape and get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Adams drops Faraday with a right and a left! Adams comes rushing in but Faraday regains his composure and manages to keep Adams in guard.

Faraday is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Adams throws a strike but Faraday rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Adams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Faraday is fighting to break Adams's control of his arms but Adams is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
I've been told that Faraday has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Faraday utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Faraday is pulling down on Adams's head. It's preventing any offense from Adams, at least for the moment.

Adams postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've been hearing good reports from Adams's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Faraday is pulling down on Adams's head to control his posture.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Adams shoots in looking for a takedown but Faraday manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Adams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Faraday stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Faraday wants it to stay on the feet.

Faraday jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Adams passes into side control, despite Faraday's attempt to control the position.
Faraday is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Adams scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Faraday preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Adams looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Faraday with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Grizzley Adams will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nice defenses there by Adams.
Grizzley Adams is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Adams walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Adams misses with the combination.

Faraday wants to improve his position but Adams is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams is keen to just control but Faraday is a slippery customer.
Faraday is trying to maintain the position but Adams is very close to passing his half guard.
Adams moves into full mount! Faraday won't be happy about that!

Adams lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Adams misses with a head shot.
Adams scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Adams trying to control but Faraday is having none of it.
Adams pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Faraday is rocked!
Adams lands a big shot to the head and Faraday winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
