The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton tries for a takedown but Sincere sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A right-left combo lands from Sincere.
Newton tries to clinch up but Sincere circles away and keeps his distance.
Newton walks into a stiff left hand from Sincere.
Sincere misses with a double jab.
Sincere stuffs the takedown.
Newton misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jay Sincere has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davis Wayne Newton.

Sincere throws a nice looking combination but Newton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

No joy there for Sincere, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sincere seems to have got his legs back now.
Newton connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Sincere tumbling to the canvas! Newton pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Sincere was done - good stoppage!
