Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Bomb Jr (ranked 3625 p4p, 3205 weight class) and Jinjing Yan (ranked 496 p4p, 458 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

I was talking to Bomb Jr's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Bomb Jr throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Yan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Yan follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Yan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bomb Jr manages to avoid it.
A jab lands there for Yan.

Jinjing Yan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Yan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Yan throws a push kick but Bomb Jr slaps the foot to one side.
Bomb Jr closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Bomb Jr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Yan.
Yan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jinjing Yan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
