Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Emelianenko (ranked 2553 p4p, 3309 weight class) and Antun Simunic (ranked 317 p4p, 406 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Emelianenko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mala Dama - Kabat. Simunic comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Monster kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Roman Emelianenko has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Antun Simunic!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simunic looks to score with a jab to the body but Emelianenko is just out of range.
Simunic throws a right hand that misses
and Emelianenko makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
We've been told by Emelianenko's head coaches at Xtreme Black House that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Simunic works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Simunic throws a body shot but no joy.

Emelianenko drops Simunic with a beautiful combination! Simunic stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Emelianenko is looking for the KO!

It looks like Antun Simunic has been cut.
Roman Emelianenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Simunic swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Emelianenko counters with a nice right hand that sends Simunic toppling to the canvas! Simunic scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Emelianenko finish him?!

Simunic is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Emelianenko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Simunic manages to avoid it.
Emelianenko throws the left hand but Simunic avoids the punch easily.
Emelianenko dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Simunic. That did some damage!
Simunic moves out of range of the strikes.
A telegraphed right hand from Emelianenko misses the target.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Simunic! But no joy.

Emelianenko lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Emelianenko lands with a right and another and another! Simunic is in big trouble! Emelianenko lands again and this time it's lights out for Simunic! A quality knockout there for Emelianenko.
