Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derek Patterson (ranked 22976 p4p, 5571 weight class) and Noah Ortega (ranked 836 p4p, 619 weight class). Patterson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I'm So High. Nashville Pussy. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Patterson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ortega.
The crowd cheers as Patterson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ortega doesn't seem phased though.

Patterson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee asks Patterson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Patterson prefers to stall for the moment though.
