The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kadirov back to the cage. Briggs follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
A jab lands there for Briggs.
Briggs connects with a right hand. Kadirov shakes it off.

Briggs looking to score a takedown here. Kadirov is defending well but Briggs drives through and ends up in Kadirov's guard.
Kadirov wants to sweep here but Briggs controlling him for the moment.

Kadirov looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Briggs is defending well.
