Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yabwe Polfavol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pantero Athrox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Athrox has managed to clinch.

Polfavol goes for a takedown attempt but Athrox pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Polfavol avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Athrox goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Pantero Athrox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Polfavol tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Polfavol has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Polfavol is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Athrox knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Athrox for a finish.

Athrox is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Polfavol gets his way!
Polfavol could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

You can see the frustration on Athrox's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
