The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blais finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Blais tries to clinch there but Doucet circles away.
Doucet scores with a one two! Blais had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Xavier Blais has been cut.
Blais shoots in but Doucet avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Doucet uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Blais has time to react.
Blais closes this distance looking for a takedown but Doucet circles away.
Blais tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Doucet swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xavier Blais. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice combo by Doucet! Oh, that's hurt him - Blais falls to the canvas and Doucet follows him into side control.

Doucet cracks Blais with an uppercut from hell and Blais crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Doucet's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Doucet decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Blais, up you get!

Blais tries to clinch but Doucet is having none of it.
Doucet fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Doucet cracks Blais with a big right hand and Blais goes down!

Doucet stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Blais dodges the punch combination from Doucet.
Blais takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Jeez, Xavier Blais's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Doucet throws a head kick that misses.
Blais tries to close the distance and clinch up but Doucet swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Blais pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Xavier Blais's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
