The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bard throws a right hand that Aurelius ducks under and follows up with a left that Aurelius also avoids with ease.
Bard throws a lazy head kick
and Aurelius counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Bard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Raval Bard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bard throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Aurelius counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bard throws a lazy head kick

and Aurelius counters with a crisp one two that drops Bard! Aurelius thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Bard to his feet! Bard is in big trouble!

Aurelius moves into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aurelius lands a hook that snaps the head of Bard backwards.
Aurelius lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bard backwards.
Bard is pushing Aurelius up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Aurelius escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A telegraphed right hand from Bard misses the target.
Bard misses with a body shot
and Aurelius counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Aurelius scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Aurelius lands the left hand.

A shot to the liver by Aurelius. Beautiful body shot.
Aurelius steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bard.
Bard throws a right hand that misses
and Aurelius cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bard misses with a double jab
and Aurelius connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Bard is rocked!
Aurelius scores with a hook to the body. Bard takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Bard darts in trying to clinch
and Aurelius counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bard is still on wobbly legs! Can Aurelius finish him?
Bard misses with a lunging right hand
and Aurelius counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Bard badly! Aurelius follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Bard out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Aurelius finished him against the cage.
