The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hekoniemi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tessier but Tessier pushes him off and we're back to square one.
It looked like Tessier was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

We've been hearing reports that Tessier has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Hekoniemi shoots for a takedown but Tessier saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Nick Tessier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tiimo Hekoniemi.
