Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Moses King (ranked 5712 p4p, 5471 weight class) and Pat Poutine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Moses King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pat Poutine!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King wants to clinch but Poutine slips to the side
and Poutine counters with a straight right hand.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
King is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Poutine bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Poutine steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from King.

Poutine closes the distance and pushes King back into the cage.
King prevents the takedown attempt.
King wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Poutine has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics King uses from the top position.
Poutine pulls King in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
King changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
King looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
King pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Poutine back to the cage. King follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
King on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
King's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and King duly obliges.

Poutine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
King throws a right hand that Poutine ducks under and follows up with a left that Poutine also avoids with ease.
King shoots in but Poutine avoids the takedown attempt easily.

enabling King to counter with a crisp jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A lazy left from King finds it's target.
King misses the shot to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Poutine has closed the distance and engaged King in a clinch.

Poutine ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Poutine no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Poutine darts in looking for a takedown but King gets double underhooks and turns Poutine into the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from King is defended easily by Poutine.

King tries to circle away but Poutine has him pinned against the cage.

King wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Poutine lands a nice shot to the body.
King is working for takedown but Poutine is calmly controlling the position for now.
King is trying to force a seperation but Poutine has the dominant position.

Poutine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
King closes this distance looking for a takedown but Poutine circles away.
Poutine drops down looking to force a counter takedown but King defends it well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Moses King. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Poutine drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Poutine working the ground and pound but King is defending the strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Poutine decides to stand back up. Poutine steps back and let's King get back to his feet.

Poutine shoots in and drives through. King sprawls well.
Moses King is winning the standup battle so far.
Poutine takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
King lands a jab to Poutine's midsection.
Poutine throws a head kick that King semi-blocks.
Poutine closes this distance looking for a takedown but King circles away.

Poutine throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. King was covering up waiting for the punch and Poutine finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Poutine is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Pat Poutine will probably get the nod - 10:9.

King has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Poutine tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

King tries to break free but Poutine pushes him back against the cage.

Poutine drops down looking for an ankle pick but King pulls his leg out and moves away.
Poutine circles away from the clinch attempt.

Poutine has taken the fight to the clinch.
King is looking to control Poutine's arms but Poutine gets an underhook and turns him. Now King has his back to the cage.
Poutine gets underhooks to prevent King's takedown attempt.
Poutine lands a hook to the side of the head.
King looking to slow down the pace here.

Poutine working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because King has passed into half guard!

Poutine is defending against the submission attempts here by King.
King wants to control but Poutine is keeping him busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

King is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

I think Poutine has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
