Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Josh Roffen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samson Komua!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roffen throws a right and a left that Komua avoids nicely.
Komua avoids the body shot from Roffen.
Roffen misses with a combination
and Komua connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Josh Roffen has been cut.
Roffen ducks under a wild hook from Komua.
Komua lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Roffen moves out of range of the strikes.
Komua throws a sloppy body shot
and Roffen counters with a two punch combo.
Komua staying out of range there.
A little jabbing left from Komua on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Roffen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A big left from Roffen misses.
Komua looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Roffen needs to keep his hands up - Komua had a free shot at his head there.
Komua lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Komua slips a straight right by Roffen.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Roffen throws a right hand that Komua ducks under and follows up with a left that Komua also avoids with ease.
Komua swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Roffen misses with a series of wild punches.
Komua bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Komua is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Komua waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Roffen.
Roffen throws a lazy uppercut
and Komua counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Komua feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Roffen sprawling to the canvas! Roffen rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Komua finish him?!
Roffen is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Komua is stalking Roffen. Roffen circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Komua, and it's lights out! Roffen really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Samson Komua!
