Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Blackmore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Hall!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall loads up on a big right hand but Blackmore slips the punch.

Blackmore gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hall wants to stand but Blackmore is controlling his posture from full guard.
Hall trying to control the position from guard on top but Blackmore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Blackmore looking to control.
Hall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blackmore. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hall wanted to stand there but Blackmore had control of the position.
Blackmore controls Hall momentarily but Hall frees himself.

Hall drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hall jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Blackmore wants to sweep here but Hall controlling him for the moment.

Hall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hall must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Blackmore is trying to keep Hall in close.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hall misses with the combination.

Hall throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Hall moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Blackmore has worked his arm free - good work by Blackmore!

Hall decides to take the fight back to the feet.

and Hall counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blackmore won't be happy with that.

Hall cracks Blackmore with a big right hand but Blackmore just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Blackmore takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Blackmore manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hall's best efforts.

Blackmore bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Blackmore is working to get back to half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hall avoids the attempt from Blackmore to control.
Blackmore is desperately trying to improve his position but Hall has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott Hall dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hall is landing with some decent strikes but Blackmore is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hall cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Blackmore tries to lock up and control but Hall gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Blackmore in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Hall cracks Blackmore with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Blackmore is trying desperately to improve position.
BOOM! Hall connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hall throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Blackmore throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Hall manages to pass to side control.
Blackmore gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Scott Hall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Blackmore shoots and misses

Hall decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Blackmore tries to close the distance and clinch but Hall swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Blackmore shoots for a takedown but Hall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hall throws a right hand that Blackmore ducks under and follows up with a left that Blackmore also avoids with ease.

Hall changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Blackmore looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The strikes coming from Hall are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Hall decides to stand up, so the ref orders Blackmore to his feet.

Hall thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blackmore's head.

Blackmore moves in looking to clinch but Hall pushes him off.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Scott Hall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hall has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
