The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.

Cunhha had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cunhha Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead.

Silva manages to reverse the position and now he's in Cunhha's guard. Nice work there by Silva.
Silva wanted to stand there but Cunhha had control of the position.

Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cunhha, up you get!

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cunhha, pushing him back against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silva decides to stand back up. Silva steps back and let's Cunhha get back to his feet.
Silva wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cunhha looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cunhha is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

so Silva counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Cunhha is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cunhha manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Cunhha's guard.
Silva wants to get up but he can't break Cunhha's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Silva wants to control from the top but Cunhha keeps moving.
Cunhha throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Cunhha is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cunhha has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Silva doesn't defend quickly enough and Cunhha has managed to lock this one up! Can Silva escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Cunhha on a fantastic submission victory.
