Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dan Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ray Turn !
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Jones.
It looks like Ray Turn has been cut.
A jab from Turn misses.
Turn shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Jones counter with a right hand.
Jones gets tackled into the cage by Turn . Turn maintains the clinch.
Jones lands a body punch.
Turn is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks.
A left hand lands to the body for Jones.
Still in the clinch, Jones scores with a nice short uppercut.
A left hand lands to the body for Jones.
Turn missing with knees to the body.
Jones prevents a takedown attempt there.
Dan Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Turn .
A right handed body shot lands from Jones.
Jones lands a left hand that snaps the head of Turn backwards.
Jones throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Turn trying to land knees to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones breaks from the clinch.
Turn misses with a left hand
and Jones counters with a crisp one two that drops Turn ! Jones thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Turn to his feet! Turn is in big trouble!
Turn looks winded!
Turn has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jones finds it's way round the side to connect with Turn 's head.
Turn misses with an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Turn 's head.
Dan Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Turn throws an overhand right that lands on Jones's shoulder, as Jones tries to avoid the shot.
Jones went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Jones sends Turn crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Jones is motioning to the referee to let Turn up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Turn is rocked!
Turn looks to clinch
and Jones counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dan Jones!
A very excited looking Dan Jones rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
