The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Boston throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dillon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Dillon looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Dillon fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Boston.
Boston shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dillon is trying to defend but Boston finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Dillon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boston moves away.
Travis Dillon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A punch lands to the side of Boston 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Boston misses with an uppercut
and Dillon counters with a nice uppercut.
Boston shoots in looking for a takedown but Dillon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boston's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Boston lands a left and a right that sends Dillon crashing to the canvas! Boston dives into mount looking to finish!

Boston has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Brent Boston spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
