PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iso Paa (ranked 3679 p4p, 4360 weight class) and Phineas Turner (ranked 487 p4p, 561 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Iso Paa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Phineas Turner!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paa blocks a leg kick.
Paa checks the leg kick nicely there.
Paa scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

It looks like Phineas Turner has been cut.
Turner tries to land a leg kick but Paa saw it coming and moves away.
Paa scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Turner throws a series of punches but Paa moves out of range.
Nice jab there from Paa.
Turner ducks under a wild hook from Paa.
Paa uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Turner has time to react.
Turner throws a leg kick but Paa sees it coming and moves out of range.
Paa blocks a head kick by Turner.
Paa takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Paa lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Paa lands a right hook to the body.
Paa has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gymi in the buildup to the fight.
A slow jab from Turner misses its intended target.
Turner falls off balance throwing a combination
and Paa counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A punch lands to the side of Turner 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Turner takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Paa lands with a cross.
Paa keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Turner staying out of range there.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Turner! But no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turner gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Paa gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Iso Paa!
