The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Cruz counters with a nice uppercut.
Cruz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Cruz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pedersen fails with the takedown.
Cruz was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Cruz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bobby Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mogens Pedersen.

Pedersen is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cruz's half guard.

It looks like Pedersen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Pedersen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cruz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pedersen.
Pedersen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pedersen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
