Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Rocha (ranked 4616 p4p, 4712 weight class) and Jon Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Francisco Rocha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jon Walker!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Walker drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Rocha manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Rocha is working for a kimura but Walker is defending it quite comfortably.

Walker is defending against the submission attempts here by Rocha.
Walker looks like he's trying to stand up.

Rocha is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Walker tries to kick Rocha off but Rocha keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rocha looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rocha is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Walker defends it well.

Walker has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Rocha is on him like a limpet, forcing Walker back against the cage.
Rocha tries to pull guard but Walker forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Rocha is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Walker to keep the fight standing.
Rocha tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Walker smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Francisco Rocha. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rocha has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Walker finds it's way round the side to connect with Rocha's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Walker lands a really nice looking cross but Rocha seems unphased.
Walker connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rocha's hands.

Walker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rocha to the mat! Rocha manages to get full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Rocha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rocha is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Walker lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Walker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rocha has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Walker has managed to get both his arms back between Rocha's legs - danger averted.
Rocha preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Walker lands a couple of elbows.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Walker's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Rocha has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Walker doesn't defend quickly enough and Rocha has managed to lock this one up! Can Walker escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Rocha on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Francisco Rocha!
After the fight, Francisco Rocha was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
