PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dechlan Tomsett (ranked 3877 p4p, 5121 weight class) and Ulf Winquist (ranked 209 p4p, 251 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ulf Winquist!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winquist misses with a double jab.
Winquist swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tomsett tries to clinch but Winquist is having none of it.
Winquist feints the counter takedown.
Tomsett with a poor takedown
and Winquist counters with a two punch combo.
Tomsett doesn't manage to clinch there - Winquist circles away.
Winquist lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Tomsett throws a head kick but Winquist moves out of range.
Winquist will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dechlan Tomsett will probably get the nod.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dechlan Tomsett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
