PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Sam (ranked 3112 p4p, 4955 weight class) and Johan Von Richthofen (ranked 434 p4p, 590 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Von Richthofen rushes Sam and presses him up against the cage.

Von Richthofen has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Sam clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Sam is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
Sam goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Sam tries to clinch there but Von Richthofen circles away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sam tries to bum rush Von Richthofen with a series of wild strikes but Von Richthofen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A head kick misses from Sam.
Von Richthofen just misses with a punch to the body.

Von Richthofen gets caught napping as Sam dives in and scores a takedown. Von Richthofen manages to retain guard.
Sam postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sam is looking to work some ground and pound but Von Richthofen has wrist control.
Sam has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Von Richthofen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Von Richthofen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sam is aware though and is defending well.
Sam postures up in Von Richthofen's guard and throws a big left but Von Richthofen blocks it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
