Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grey Ape (ranked 169 p4p, 346 weight class) and Ruslan Danilov (ranked 30 p4p, 57 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danilov lands a jab to the head.
Ape has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Infamous Duranto Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Danilov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ape lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
A right-left combo lands from Danilov.
Ape takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

letting Ape counter with a right hand.
Ape uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Danilov.

Ape lands a big uppercut and Danilov crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Danilov looks OK. Ape waves Danilov back to his feet!

Danilov seems to have recovered his senses.

Ape pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Danilov shoots in but no luck this time.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Ape counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Danilov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ape on his heels. He'll look to pass Ape's guard now, I'm sure.
Danilov is looking to work some ground and pound but Ape has wrist control.
Danilov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Grey Ape will probably get the nod.
That's time! Ape's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Ape counters with a crisp right that sends Danilov to the canvas! Ape follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
