The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Tuhoaja shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.

Tuhoaja closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Silva wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tuhoaja. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tuhoaja throws and elbow that misses. Silva uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tuhoaja's guard. Nice move by Silva!

Silva would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Silva wants to control from the top but Tuhoaja keeps moving.

Tuhoaja had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tuhoaja Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead.
Silva has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Tuhoaja just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
