Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kelly Ganon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Ganon.
Ganon scoring well with a low kick there.
Souza has a takedown stuffed.
Ganon is looking to clinch.
Souza changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ganon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Souza is looking to take a break and control but Ganon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Souza might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ganon kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Souza wants to take a breather but Ganon manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Souza.

Ganon wants to stand up but Souza is controlling him.
Souza passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Ganon is looking to regain half guard here but Souza keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Souza tries to move to mount but Ganon blocks the move with his legs.
Ganon is trying to control Souza's posture but Souza avoids it.
Souza tries to advance to mount but Ganon denies him.
Souza is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ganon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Souza drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Souza prevents Ganon from escaping the position.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Souza wants to control but Ganon is keeping him busy.
Souza is trying to get an arm triangle but Ganon is defending well.
Ganon is trying to control Souza's posture but Souza avoids it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ganon gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Souza.

and Souza moves into the clinch.
Souza has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Ganon is trying to keep an underhook but Souza manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Ganon wants to control but Souza is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Souza darts in and clinches Ganon up against the cage.

Ganon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Souza has him pressed against the cage.
Souza drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kelly Ganon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Souza.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Souza shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ganon as he jumps to the side.
A head kick from Ganon lands but Souza takes it in his stride.

Good leg kick by Ganon there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Souza tries to clinch up
and Ganon finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Ganon plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Ganon is looking to clinch.
Pedro Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ganon misses with a head kick.
Ganon lands with a kick to the temple. Souza shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Souza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ganon as he avoids it easily.

Souza shoots in looking for a takedown. Ganon tries to sprawl out of it but Souza keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ganon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ganon moves in looking to clinch but Souza pushes him off.
Souza drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ganon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Souza is controlling him.
Souza is pushing down on Ganon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ganon is fighting to maintain full guard but Souza has managed to sneak the leg through.
Souza seems to be looking for submissions.
Ganon wants to improve his position but Souza is controlling well.
Souza looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Souza is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Souza passes the guard and advances to mount!
Souza thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ganon is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Souza is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Souza extends the arm and Ganon is forced to tap!
