And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jimmy Calling!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Five goes for a takedown attempt but Calling pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Five goes for a double leg but Calling avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Calling continues to drive forward.
Calling is trying to pull guard but Five turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Calling is looking to take this one to the mat.
Calling tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Five just stands there and leans against the cage.
Banker Five has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Calling.

Five jumps guard and drags Calling to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Five keeping moving, preventing Calling from controlling successfully.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Five has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Calling can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Calling trying to control the position from guard on top but Five is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Calling is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Calling pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Five is keeping the position for now.

Calling trying to control but Five is working from the bottom.
Calling is fighting to break Five's control of his arms but Five is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Calling drops back looking for a leg! Five is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Five manages to kick Calling off! Calling jumps back into Five's guard.

Five lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Five stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Calling swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Calling tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Calling controls Five momentarily but Five frees himself.
Five trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Five will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Calling has eaten all the pies!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Calling trying to keep a closed guard but Five is proving a slippery customer.
Five stays in close to Calling's body and controls the position.
Five's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Calling controls Five momentarily but Five frees himself.
Five stands and throws Calling's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Five is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Calling is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Calling tries to bench press Five off him but Five keeps the position.

Five thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Calling wants to control but Five is having none of it.

Five has control of Calling's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Calling regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Five sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Calling's guard.

Calling is defending against the submission attempts here by Five.
Five is pressing down on Calling's thigh, looking to free his foot. Calling is holding on for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Five is taking a breather. Calling says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Calling is looking to control Five's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Calling avoid being mounted?
