Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Barnes (ranked 696 p4p, 1604 weight class) and Kyle Seehaver (ranked 104 p4p, 229 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Kyle Seehaver!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes misses with a straight right.
Seehaver changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Barnes throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Seehaver's head.
Seehaver dives in for a single leg takedown but Barnes sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
It looked like Barnes was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Seehaver.
Seehaver looks for a takedown but Barnes sprawls well.
Kyle Seehaver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Seehaver is defended easily by Barnes.
Andrew Barnes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Seehaver.

Seehaver shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barnes pinned against the cage. Barnes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Barnes feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Andrew Barnes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Barnes lands with a slapping head kick.
Crunch! Barnes slams his shin into Seehaver's torso.
Seehaver looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Barnes shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Seehaver changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Barnes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And Seehaver tries to counter it with a takedown but Barnes pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Nice takedown defense from Barnes. No joy for Seehaver on that attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Seehaver shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barnes sprawls well. Barnes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Seehaver gets slowly back to his feet.

Barnes feints a jab promting Seehaver to slip. Barnes then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Seehaver slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Barnes stuffs the takedown.
Barnes moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Seehaver is rocked!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crack! A monster head kick from Barnes and Seehaver falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Barnes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Andrew Barnes!
Andrew Barnes was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
