Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Pistol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 11 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Moe Moose!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moose has Pistol up against the cage in a clinch.
Pistol tries to pull guard but Moose won't allow it.

Moose breaks from the clinch.
Pistol has been working on his balance at Muay Thai and BJJ | Clinchwork, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Moose.
Moose fails with the takedown.
Pistol fails with the takedown.
Moose shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pistol as he jumps to the side.
Moose looks winded!

Pistol closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pistol lands in his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moose can't keep his opponent in guard - Pistol advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Pistol throwing shots but Moose is blocking nicely.
Moose wants to get back to full guard.
Pistol is looking to take a break and control but Moose is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pistol is really struggling to control Moose but he's trying to hold on to the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Pistol wants to clinch.
Moose tries to clinch there but Pistol circles away.
Moose looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Moose fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pistol misses with a wild combination.
Pistol shoots in looking for a takedown but Moose manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pistol's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Moose is looking for the big counter here.

Moose clinches up with Pistol and pushes him back against the cage.
Moose throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Moose stalls.
Pistol with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Pistol wants to get back to striking at distance but Moose won't allow it.
Moose drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Moose is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pistol pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Pistol tries to stall but Moose uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Pistol jumps guard but Moose turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Pistol jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Moose walks away with a smile on his face. Pistol gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Moose defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pistol.
Moose keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Moose circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pistol pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pistol shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Moose pinned against the cage. Moose gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pistol shoots in looking for a takedown. Moose tries to sprawl out of it but Pistol keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moose manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Moe Moose will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Moose stuffs the takedown.
Pistol throws a shot from downtown. Moose moves away and avoids it.
Moose swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pistol tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Moose manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pistol doesn't manage to clinch there - Moose circles away.
Moose slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A combination from Pistol does no damage.
Pistol throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Moose avoids the head kick by Pistol.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moose displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pistol.

Moose uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pistol.
Moose tries to counter with a clinch but Pistol shakes him off and moves away.
Pistol goes for a double leg but Moose avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Moose continues to drive forward.

Moose pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Moose rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pistol moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Moose misses with a head kick.
Moose avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Moose lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Pistol shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Moose sprawls well. Moose wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pistol gets slowly back to his feet.

Some wild striking there from Pistol.

Moose rushes Pistol and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pistol is looking to control Moose's arms but Moose gets an underhook and turns him. Now Pistol has his back to the cage.
Moose gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pistol.
Pistol is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Moose pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Pistol is trying to pull guard but Moose turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Pistol wants to get back to striking at distance but Moose won't allow it.
Moose gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pistol.

Moose shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pistol defends it nicely.
Pistol fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Pistol changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moose tries to avoid it but Pistol manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moose to the ground. Moose escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Moose closes the distance and pushes Pistol back into the cage.

Moose has Pistol pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pistol manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Pistol can't break the clinch.
Pistol wants a takedown.
Moose jumps guard but Pistol stands there with Moose around his waist. Moose gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pistol wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Moose managing to block the knees to the body from Pistol.
Pistol throws a head punch that misses.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Pistol tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Moose avoids it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pistol goes for a takedown attempt but Moose pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Pistol misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Moe Moose showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Pistol throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Moose throws a big counter head kick but Pistol avoids it with no problem.

Moose closes the distance and clinches.
Pistol tries to pull guard but Moose won't allow it.

Moose breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pistol bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Pistol decides to stand back up.
Pistol dives in for a single leg takedown but Moose sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Pistol fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Pistol. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Moose takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

As Pistol backs off Moose throws a huge counter combo but Pistol manages to avoid it all.

Moose lands a body shot in the clinch.
Moose is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Pistol is trying to drag Moose to the mat but Moose just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Pistol wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Moose has him pressed against the cage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Pistol wants a takedown but no success here.
Pistol is looking for a takedown.
Moose keeps control of Pistol as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Pistol tries to pull guard but Moose forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Moose presses Pistol against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Moose manages to pull guard.
Moose really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pistol. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Moose keeping moving, preventing Pistol from controlling successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Moose pulls Pistol in close to prevent any damage.
John Pistol has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Moe Moose is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Moose wants to stand and escape but Pistol is having none of it.

Moe Moose comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Moose winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
