Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yvan Keller (ranked 2999 p4p, 3102 weight class) and Bobby Mercer (ranked 173 p4p, 178 weight class). Mercer has chosen Why Can't We Be Friends by WAR as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bobby Mercer!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keller fails with the takedown
and Mercer counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Keller avoids the head kick by Mercer.
Mercer lands with a nice body kick.
Mercer connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Keller's hands.
Keller shoots in and drives through. Mercer sprawls well.

Keller shoots in for a takedown but Mercer shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yvan Keller. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mercer tries to land a front kick but Keller steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mercer misses with an uppercut. Keller saw that one coming.

Mercer throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Keller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mercer but Mercer pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mercer works the jab nicely.

Mercer scores with a head kick.
Keller is rocked!
Keller doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mercer counters with a crisp right that sends Keller to the canvas! Mercer follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobby Mercer!
A relieved looking Bobby Mercer thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
