Slugger comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Lou Slugger has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Earnie Shavers!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shavers misses with a body shot
and Slugger counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Shavers's coach down at JAG Battle Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shavers's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Shavers moves away from the strike by Slugger.
Slugger throws a shot from downtown. Shavers moves away and avoids it.
Slugger motions for Shavers to come forward. Slugger throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Slugger connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shavers. Shavers circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Slugger misses with a low kick.

Slugger lands a big uppercut and Shavers crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Shavers looks OK. Slugger waves Shavers back to his feet!

Shavers is rocked!

It looks like Earnie Shavers has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd cheers as Shavers lands an impressive looking overhand right. Slugger doesn't seem phased though.
Shavers dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Shavers does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Shavers takes a swing at Slugger's ribcage but misses.
It looked like Slugger was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Shavers.
Shavers misses with a jab to the body
and Slugger counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Shavers misses with a hook

and Slugger counters with a crisp right hand that drops Shavers! Slugger lets Shavers back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Shavers is still on wobbly legs! Can Slugger finish him?
Slugger checks a low kick from Shavers.
Are you kidding me?! Slugger ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Shavers clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lou Slugger!
In his post fight interview, Lou Slugger started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
