Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dean Hawthrone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leon Bowser!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawthrone shoots for a double leg takedown but Bowser sprawls well. He's pushed Hawthrone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bowser with a jab.
Bowser lands a two punch combo.
Bowser is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bowser gets caught napping as Hawthrone dives in and scores a takedown. Bowser manages to retain guard.
Hawthrone throwing strikes from guard but Bowser blocks nicely.
Hawthrone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bowser will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Hawthrone is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bowser trying to keep a closed guard but Hawthrone is proving a slippery customer.
Bowser is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Hawthrone wants to pass the guard but Bowser is keeping the position.

Hawthrone seems to be working for a kimura but Bowser defends the submission attempt.

Hawthrone seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Bowser is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
