PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Moe Moose (ranked 3683 p4p, 5123 weight class) and Jurdy Postman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 12 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Moe Moose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jurdy Postman!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Moose.
Moose looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Moose shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Postman counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Postman tries a head kick but it misses.
Moose was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Postman is looking to clinch.

Postman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Moose to the ground. Postman is now in Moose's guard.

Postman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Moose keeping full guard, as Postman tries to pass.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Postman stands up and waves to Moose to follow him.

Postman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Moose looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Moose is not content to let Postman control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moose parries the strikes from Postman easily there. Postman is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Moose to escape.
Moose definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Postman trying to control the action but Moose is working from the bottom.
Postman might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Moose haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Postman takes a little break here. Moose wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Moose is not content to let Postman control the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Moose is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Postman is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Postman looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Postman is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Moose has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Postman looking to control but Moose is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Postman lands a nice shot to the head.

Postman fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Moose is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Postman pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Oh Moose is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Postman! Moose is hurt baaadly! Postman is firing away with more strikes - Moose is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
