The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pruitt with a nice cross.
Pruitt scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Pruitt cracks Soza with a good jab.
Pruitt digs a good body shot into Soza's ribs.
Pruitt lands a nice looking body shot.
We've been told by Pruitt's head coaches at The Scrap Squad that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Soza does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A nice leg kick from Pruitt, right into the meat of the thigh.
Pruitt moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Pruitt keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Soza looks winded!
Pruitt thuds a left hand into Soza's body.
Soza looks to land a left hand but Pruitt moved out of range nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pruitt thuds a left hand into Soza's body.
Soza takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Soza gets caught napping as Pruitt dives in and scores a takedown. Soza manages to retain guard.
Pruitt stands up over Soza, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Pruitt distracts Soza with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Soza is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pruitt gets to his feet and stands over Soza, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Soza felt that one! Pruitt unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Soza from any more punishment!

Spaced Soza spoke after the fight, saying 'My opponent just was a little bit better and i have to respect their skill set. What know I have to do is go back in the gym and just focus and train harder so next time I can dominant in my match.'.
