Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ayoki Shuba (ranked 24587 p4p, 25153 weight class) and Nate Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz tries for a takedown but Shuba sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And Shuba counters with a quick kick to the body but Diaz blocks it.

Shuba appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shuba tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shuba to the ground. Shuba escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Diaz felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Shuba swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Diaz is now in Shuba's guard. A big mistake from Shuba there, giving up the dominant position!
