Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Test Four (ranked 4581 p4p, 4574 weight class) and Banker Eight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Eight enables Four to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Eight manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Eight pushes Four off and gets back to his feet.
Eight shoots in for a double leg but Four sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Four manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Eight on his heels. He'll look to pass Eight's guard now, I'm sure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eight controls Four momentarily but Four frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eight is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Four has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Eight has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Eight breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Four changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Eight tries to avoid it but Four manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Eight to the ground. Eight escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Four is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A lazy body kick from Eight
and Four makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Eight fails in his attempt to clinch.

Eight shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Four's guard.

Four has his feet on Eight's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Four shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Eight as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Test Four. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Four decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Eight is looking to control Four's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Eight avoid being mounted?
Eight has hold of Four's hands but Four slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Four takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Eight is looking to improve his position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Eight jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Four walks away with a smile on his face. Eight gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Test Four has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Banker Eight.
