PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Keenwah Granes (ranked 2540 p4p, 24648 weight class) and Lovely Tierra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Granes comes into the arena with 敢不敢 blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keenwah Granes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lovely Tierra!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tierra takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Granes comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Tierra pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Granes is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Granes works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Granes lands with an overhand left.

Granes shoots in and bounces Tierra off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Tierra tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Granes cracks Tierra with a solid left hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tierra avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Granes distracts Tierra with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Granes forces his way into half guard.
Granes is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Tierra!
Granes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

BOOM! Granes connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Granes landing strikes from the mount and Tierra is in trouble!
Tierra tries to hold on but Granes pushes him away.
Tierra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Granes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tierra takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Granes tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Granes quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Granes but it's paid off an Tierra is forced to tap! Nice work by Granes.

In his post fight interview, Keenwah Granes started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
