Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jupiter Smalls!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Geoff Jeffries!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeffries misses with a body shot.
Smalls closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Jeffries's coach down at Shadow Warriors was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jeffries's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Smalls takes the fight into the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smalls keeps control of Jeffries as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Smalls throws a big counter combination but Jeffries scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Jeffries comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

It looked like Smalls was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jeffries.

Jeffries throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Smalls on the side of the head.
Jeffries tries to bum rush Smalls with a series of wild strikes but Smalls uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Smalls closes the distance and pushes Jeffries back into the cage.
Smalls's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Smalls lands a nice hook to Jeffries's body. Jeffries takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Smalls counters with a crisp one two that drops Jeffries! Smalls thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Jeffries to his feet! Jeffries is in big trouble!

Smalls takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Smalls's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jeffries connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Smalls scrambles back to his feet.

Jeffries walks straight into a right hand from Smalls - that's dropped him! Smalls jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Jeffries from any more punishment! Jeffries complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
