Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Wright (ranked 4318 p4p, 3128 weight class) and Dalton Swas (ranked 481 p4p, 374 weight class). Dalton Swas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Wright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dalton Swas!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Swas gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Swas has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Swas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wright tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Swas swivels and escapes.

Wright scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Swas is doing well to control the position and prevent Wright from advancing to side control.
The fighters are battling for position here. Swas manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Swas pulls Wright in close to his closed guard and prevents Wright from doing any damage or advancing position.

Wright misses with a takedown attempt - Swas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Swas throws a sloppy head kick and Wright moves out of range easily.

and Swas counters with a series of strikes. Wright will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Swas holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Swas is looking to pass into half guard but Wright pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Wright is in guard.

Swas thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

That's time! Wright's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Wright shoots in looking for a takedown but Swas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wright's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Wright wants to work for an arm triangle but Swas is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Wright is nestled in close to Swas, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Wright drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wright jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wright can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Swas controls the pace.
Wright is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Wright escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Swas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dalton Swas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Swas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Swas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Swas shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wright was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Swas remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Swas is looking to take a break and control but Wright is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Wright closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Swas's guard.
Swas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Swas pulls Wright in to control the position.

Swas seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Wright got a little sloppy there for a moment and Swas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wright has managed to get both his arms back between Swas's legs - danger averted.

Swas is looking for a triangle but Wright pushes his legs off easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Wright is trying hard to land a takedown here. Swas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wright shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Swas as he avoids it easily.
Swas has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Swas shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wright is trying to defend but Swas finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well Swas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
