Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charles Kenway Jr (ranked 3278 p4p, 2710 weight class) and Hiroshi Papo (ranked 186 p4p, 156 weight class). Hiroshi Papo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Charles Kenway Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Papo!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Papo scores with a takedown into Kenway Jr's guard.

Kenway Jr has his foot on Papo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Papo works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kenway Jr tries to lock up and control but Papo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Hiroshi Papo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kenway Jr seems a little lost for a moment, as Papo dominates the positioning.
Charles Kenway Jr has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hiroshi Papo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Charles Kenway Jr.
I think Papo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
